Understanding Community Perspectives: The IMT Community Surveys
These reports present results from community surveys that ask how Chicagoans feel about and interact with the Chicago Police Department. These surveys are conducted every two years by researchers from the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Chicago.
The IMT, in partnership with UIC, conducts a community survey every two years.

The Institute for Policy and Civic Engagement (IPCE) at the University of Illinois – Chicago (UIC) serves as a catalyst for learning and participatory action in discourse, research, and educational programs. IPCE partners with the Independent Monitoring Team (IMT) to conduct and facilitate Community Surveys, Focus Groups and Community Listening Sessions for the ongoing Consent Decree.
